Ultanya

Ultanya is my original D&D campaign world, created in 1983 when I was ten years old. The word blends the idea of something ‘ultimate’ with the kind of fantastical realms that inspired me as a kid, such as Eternia, Fantastica, and Hyboria, along with many others from books and films of the time.

By the late 80s, word of mouth had spread and more people were eager to join a game with me behind the screen. There was often a wait to get a seat at the table, and someone once joked that I was the “Grand DM.” The title has followed me ever since.
